sights, sounds, and things unseen // she often sees her experiences in life as a parallel to the infamous Road to Jericho. what would she be thinking about as she traveled there? where would she be going, and from where is she coming? why is she going? she meets many travelers along the way. she sees states and circumstances. she experiences wars and makes peace. she learns to Go. she learns to Rest. she learns to Depend. she comes to understand that she is created to Love and to Be Loved. she is not alone. you are not alone.

As inspired by Jonathan Klein’s TED talk the other day, here is the first of a series of pictures for my first virtual gallery called “We are Listening.” I’ve always been fascinated by the process and experience of curating visual art, so I figured this is a good time to take the first step.
In a time when our worlds collide, we are constantly hearing voices, noises and sounds. Do we still know Stillness? Is Quiet anywhere to be found? I propose that we take the time to learn to Listen — not just with our ears, but with our minds; our senses: our eyes, our noses, our touch, our lips, our intuitions and awareness; our spirits: with our very essence.
