she often sees her experiences in life as a parallel to the infamous Road to Jericho. what would she be thinking about as she traveled there? where would she be going, and from where is she coming? why is she going?
she meets many travelers along the way. she sees states and circumstances. she experiences wars and makes peace. she learns to Go. she learns to Rest. she learns to Depend. she comes to understand that she is created to Love and to Be Loved.
she is not alone. you are not alone.

unending Joy
The Lord takes pleasure in those who hope in his steadfast love. Psalm 147v11
When we hope in God, we glorify God as the fountain of deep and lasting joy. When we pray, we give expression to that God-glorifying hope. And when we obey with joy, we prove that the God of all-satisfying hope is real in our lives. Obedience is the irrepressible public relations project of those who have tasted and seen that the Lord is good. (Matthew 5v16)

stand down, woman.
with the recent shifting of boulders in my heart, I’ve had to find different ways to breathe and circulate oxygen for my soul. I find myself tearing up in my medical malpractice class, because somewhere in these deep corners is a part of me that cannot imagine not being a doctor. therein lies the problem. it’s unhealthy to tie my identity to something as fleeting as an occupation, especially when what truly captivates me is the Healing process, which is not limited to the practice of medicine.
so, for now, when my emotions swell up, I just have to say, “stand down, woman. trust in your Father who loves you”
