- “I Bear, I Build” is a rough demo of some lyrics I wrote in my moleskine, inspired by Micah 7.  

There really isn’t anything profound, I just feel like God has been really pressing into me about receiving Him well, about receiving everything He has to offer (which is a ton!). My whole life, I’d been focusing on what I could do for or offer God, but He has really changed and re-focused my heart to what is more valuable: to receive grace and freedom to heal up, and be fully empowered to respond to Him, to walk with Him, to express Him :)

I made sure to record a demo for this song because it is the first lyrics of which I’ve been able to fully experience in my heart from His perspective…of the Love with which He speaks to me, how He feels about the things that wreck me, how He really strives to pour the best into me, how He is so gentle with my brokenness, how He really is filled and overwhelmed with Joy when He thinks of me, even at my most disobedient moments. (I am bawling now just typing out that last sentence…in a coffeeshop haha). 

How much more boldly would we spread Light if we truly and deeply receive all that He has for us at every moment? How much more would we be repulsed by dead works and religion? How much more would we lay down our lives for each other?

May today be another day for His building.

I covered this song for a few people in my life because we definitely feel this way about the One we love, but more and more, I am realizing that He feels this way about us.
